2016 Orientation Process

Newly enrolling and continuing families should plan to attend the scheduled orientation session for their child(ren)'s class.   Orientation take place in the the classrooms and begins at 10:00 a.m.

Paperwork

Newly enrolled families must complete all enrollment paperwork and submit it to the school not later July 15th.  For instructions please visit this page.

Badging

Families who do not have a NASA badge must submit requests for badges not later than July 15th.  For instructions, visit this page.  NASA GCDC does not have staffing to escort visitors from the gate.  Please do not bring guest who are not badged because they will be denied access to Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).  Arrive early for badging appointments.  You may consider securing your badge before the first day of school.

Scheduling Visit Days For Newly Enrolling Children

Families new to our program may bring their children for three visits prior to the first day of school.  There is no fee for these visits.  All registration paperwork must be submitted before a child can participate in a scheduled visit day.

Parents are asked not to stay in the classroom during these visits as the purpose is to allow your child to slowly become acclimated to the new environment.  Parents must stay on Goddard Space Flight Center and  carry a cell phone with them at all times. Parents may enjoy a visit to one of the local cafeterias during these visits.
